This will re-certify you as a Certified Natural Shoreline Professional (CNSP) for 3 more years.

You are eligible for this recertification if your initial certification was completed 3 or more years ago –

  • To become a Certified Natural Shoreline Professional, you must complete all three of the Training Components: the in-class instruction, field exercise, and pass the certification exam to obtain initial certification.
  • When the training components are completed, you start with a certification that is valid for three years. When those three years end, you can recertify here.

Benefits of renewing your CNSP

  • Continue to indicate to potential clients that you provide lake-friendly shoreline management solutions.
  • Continue to be listed on the CNSP Listing on the Michigan Natural Shoreline Partnership’s website. The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) will refer interested parties to this list.

Please note: The re-certification is handled by Michigan Lakes and Streams Association (MLSA) as the fiduciary of the Certified Natural Shoreline Professional (CNSP) Program. All funds are directed to CNSP.
