We haven’t heard much about this issue in a while but I wanted to share with you the initiative of Porter Township in Van Buren County that passed in 2022 to regulate shore term rentals on the local level. There was much discussion among residents and the planning commission, lake associations were informed and were asked to provide feedback. The township board and most residents were in favor of the ordinance language.
