The Michigan Clean Boats, Clean Waters program has $35,000 in grant funding available for local organizations interested in conducting aquatic invasive species education to boaters and anglers. Eligible applicants include lake associations, watershed groups, local or tribal units of government, schools, and other non-profits. Grants can be used for a variety of activities including signage, invasive species removal supplies, educational handouts, and events.

Funding requests can be up to $3,000 and do not require local match or cost sharing. This is a competitive funding opportunity and complete applications will be subject to a review process and ranked based on group eligibility, project significance, anticipated outcomes, and target audience.

Applications will be accepted until January 17th, 2025.
