Site Plan Review Regulations
Site plan review includes provisions in the zoning ordinance for the administrative review of documents and drawings specified in the zoning ordinance to ensure that a proposed development is in compliance with the zoning ordinance. Many local governments already administer site plan review as part of their planning process, so adding lake protection review often does not add to the administrative workload. Communities can use site plan review standards to limit the amount of impervious surfaces, require setbacks from natural features and promote reductions of stormwater.
